April Gray

It’s mid-April (!) and I’m ready for real spring. (We’re getting there, slowly but surely…)

Clockwise from top: the gorgeous NYC skyline; curling up with a good book; feeling good with my new ‘do.

It was a mostly gray and rainy week, which I’m not a fan of. I tend to like either sunshine or pouring rain — nothing in between, thank you very much.

But as the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.”

Since 2015 is moving forward at a breakneck pace, May isn’t that far off.

Can’t wait to see more blooms, but in the meantime, I’ll make the most of April — even if she decides to be more gray than green.

This week, I’m also lovin’:

Experiencing my work through another person’s eyes + a healing hand + a cute and fresh new shorter ‘do + feeling spring ready + dreaming of travels to far-off places, like Santorini, Marrakech and Kyoto + Bob Odenkirk‘s gusto + John Oliver’s sit-down with Edward Snowden + Prada’s “The Postman Dreams” short video trilogy + harnessing the blah-blahs for a rested mind and grateful heart + iMessage catch-ups + how much London Grammar reminds me of The xx, Florence + the Machine and Portishead + the teaser for the second season of True Detective + the snap!, crackle!, pop! of Rice Krispies in the early morning + the return of Game of Thrones! + So Delicious coconut milk minis + evening coffee date with a good friend + a pine-scented candle for a rainy day + a light gnocchi + Mary Kubick’s fantastic debut thriller novel The Good Girl + date nights with my hubby
