Winter is unpredictable. I don’t mind the cold really, but what I do mind is a lack of sunshine.
Winter months seems so long at times, especially when sunshine can be scarce and a total tease. When the gray days seem to go on and on…and on, I daydream of bright sunny days on some gorgeous Goan beach…
…But that’s not always possible, is it?
So why not just embrace winter and just make it as sunny indoors as possible?
The easiest way I can think of doing this is buying fresh flowers. I’ve made a routine of it, and all I can say is that it makes a real difference in my mood, rain or shine.
Other simple things that make winter more fun are large mugs of hot chocolate (with mini marshmallows, please!), fluffy pajamas, indoor movie nights (thanks to iTunes + Netflix) with delicious takeout and comfy-cozy midday naps.
How do you fight the winter blues?
