Grateful Geek: Four Years

Last week was sheer madness, and this week is shaping up to be much the same. So this week’s “Grateful Geek” comes early, especially since I’ll be traveling this weekend.

And I thought that today would be a good day to think about all that I’m grateful for because it also happens to be mine and my hubby’s fourth anniversary!

I love this photo of me and my hubby back when we had been dating for nearly six months.

I generally like to keep the details of my personal life private, but when it comes to how much I love and respect my hubby, I can’t shut up! From the moment I met him a little more than six years ago, he has proven to be a real gentleman: loving, kind, funny and smart. He’s got a great heart. And he’s not bad to look at!

I’m so grateful for these four years (with many, many more to come) of married bliss! It’s my kind of perfect.

This week (and a half), I’m also lovin’:

Upcoming sweetscape to Hershey, the land of chocolate + bloomin’ business and busy weeks + support from unexpected places + firsts and good problems + warm pajamas + soy gingerbread lattes (hold the whip, please) and Starbucks holiday cups + cold medication + handwritten notes + online sales and Christmas shopping (nearly done!) + Mindy Kaling + neutrals and rose gold + Buzzcut Season + Diwali care package courtesy of my in-laws + sparkles and glitter + self gifts + the first snow and traces of winter + Swedish thrillers that keep me up at night + daily touches of whimsy + bowls of maple oatmeal + cheesy, B-grade movies on Netflix + my kid brother’s sense of humor and enthusiasm + Anthony Bourdain + the treadmill + Thor, god of thunder + J. Law’s crazy, daring new haircut…just because + The Blacklist + Kindle Paperwhite + the nonstop entertainment that is my parents at dinnertime + the feeling that anything is possible if you are willing to work for it + sleepy, early morning chats with my hubby
